Order of Kings Siege Mode Introduction
In the real-time sandbox strategy mobile game Order of Kings, after advancing to the main quest of Chapter 5, rulers will unlock the Alliance system. This marks the end of the solo beginner phase and entry into the chaotic era of warlords. After joining an Alliance, conflicts with other forces are inevitable, and ownership of Cities becomes the core contention. Siege battles are challenging, emphasizing close coordination among members. This guide aims to help rulers quickly master Siege essentials and understand Alliance campaigns.
I. Tech Foundation: The Role of the Academy
When the Government Office building reaches a specific level, the Academy will unlock. After construction, rulers can research tech in Military, Internal Affairs, and City Defense.

II. City Breakers: Siege Weapon
The current version offers two main siege weapons: Battering Rams and Trebuchets, each suited for different battlefield scenarios.
1. Battering Ram: Melee Wall Breaker
Combat Style: Excels in close-quarters combat, delivering powerful impacts against walls.
Advantage: Deals significant bonus damage to enemy structures (especially walls and Gates).
Weakness: Vulnerable to counterattacks from melee troops like Swordsmen, Cavalry, and Spearmen.
Tactical Value: Deploying Battering Rams in Sieges effectively shortens gate-breaching time, creating crucial breakthroughs for follow-up troops to Enter the city for street fighting.

2. Trebuchet: Long-range Suppression
Combat Style: Specializes in long-range boulder attacks.
Advantage: Deals high damage to buildings and walls with area splash effects, hitting multiple targets or structures simultaneously.
Weakness: Equally vulnerable to close assaults by Swordsmen, Cavalry, and Spearmen.
Tactical Value: Ideal for long-range strikes, efficient destruction of enemy fortifications and city buildings.

III. Siege Process: Three Phases of Coordinated Combat
Attacking a System City on the map requires full Alliance cooperation, typically divided into three phases: War Declaration Preparation, Gate Assault, and Core Destruction.
Phase 1: War Declaration Preparation
The Alliance leader sets the Siege time and formally Declares War on the target City. Declaration marks the Siege's official start.

Phase 2: Gate Assault
After declaration, the battle enters the gate-breaking phase. Before this, each ruler must adjust their troop composition and choose siege weapons (Battering Rams or Trebuchets) to attack the Gate. Enemy Troops will harass and obstruct, requiring Alliance members to protect siege weapons and repel the Enemy Army. Destroying the Gate completes this phase.

Phase 3: Core Destruction (Street Fighting)
After Breaking through the Gate, combat shifts to urban street fighting. The core objective is destroying the enemy City's heart—the Main City. The Garrison will resist fiercely using complex urban terrain. Rulers must monitor their siege weapons' status and position to ensure continuous operation, rapidly depleting the Main City's defense (Durability) under Garrison interference. Breaching the Main City declares Siege victory. The City will belong to the player's Alliance, and members can relocate their Main Cities nearby.

[Order of Kings System Main City]
Beyond System Cities, players often attack Cities occupied by others. If the target player (or their Alliance) is already hostile, you can attack directly. Otherwise, you must first Declare War on their City to begin the Siege.
