II. Types of Official Ranks

There are three main categories of Official Ranks: Military, Internal Affairs, and Production, all managed by the Governor. The Governor can only be appointed from a General, while the other categories include various Official Ranks. For example, the Military has Horse Trainer, Forge Officer, and Recruitment Officer; Internal Affairs includes Trade Officer and Tax Officer; Production consists of Supply Officer, Quarry Officer, Lumber Officer, and Iron Officer. Each Official Rank can be assigned to a General, and the Commander’s attributes and Skills will affect the effectiveness of the corresponding Official Rank. The higher the Internal Affairs value, the greater the benefits Commanders can bring to the City.

Additionally, some Commanders’ Skills provide extra benefits to the city. For instance, when Zhang Juzheng serves as Governor, he boosts all officials’ Internal Affairs Stats, increasing overall gains.
